I heard back from the neurologist and I am not having seizures. Back to square 1. |

Sorry, I meant to reply to your last entry. My brother went through almost the exact same thing you did. Dizzy spells, vertigo that would hit suddenly. He went through a bunch of different tests, MRIs, they ruled out seizures too. Finally the doctors found out that there was a calcium buildup in his inner ear. The problem resolved itself over time, I don't remember if they gave him any treatment to help speed it along though.
Have you had any tests or been checked for inner ear problems? Another idea is that it could be a symptom of migraine. I hope you figure it out! That sounds really scary to experience.
The ENT is next (the neurologist didn't understand why I wasn't sent there first).
I read about your brother's problem when I was looking into this the other day. Basically, calcium lumps in the inner ear migrate into the part of the inner ear that tells which way is up.
Which means that my problem could be rocks in my head!
The neuro didn't want to diagnose a migraine because I'm 45 years old and I've never had any migraine type symptoms before. (Don't hate me!)

Oof, good luck!
Thanks! I know your problems make this look like a cakewalk, so I especially appreciate your consideration.
Well, even though you still don't know, at least it's not seizures. :-\ | |
